Autocompleted dropdowns

Time for another feature release. We always try to figure out new ways to make it easier for you to use our services. This time, we engaged ourselves with a vital part of Printfolder, the quotation composer.

So far, we have been using stone cold vanilla dropdowns for selections such as product format, color,  material and so on. Nothing wrong with that, but the downside is of course that it's not possible to fill in arbitrary properties. This constraint can be rather frustrating as we know that many printing projects include products with special customization. We want this customization to be visible and documented in the project folder in Printfolder. Now it is.

Just a couple of days ago we pushed our latest release to printfolder.ee. Now it's possible to enjoy the best of both worlds when configuring a product, selecting from pre-entered properties, and filling in your own properties. To make it even easier for your, we have armed the composer with a substantial autocompleter.

Let's see it in action. Assume that you're configuring the format of your new, astonishing business cards.  By starting to type the format, you'll be suggested with matching pre-existing properties:

If you choose to go your own way, and fill in something entirely new, your newly created property will be autocompleted as well the next time you configure a product, which makes it much easier for your fingers. Great!

Still, we have of course not removed the ability of choosing from pre-existing properties. By clicking on the down arrow, the most common choices are readily available for you:

So now, Printfolder is yet more flexible, allowing you to use it the way you prefer.

New: Customizable abridged emails

 

We launched Printfolder as an invite bound beta the 28th of October in Estonia. After observing the activities among Printfolder users, we instantly found a behavior that needed approvement, notification emails. As we want to be able to notify customers when new offers arrive, new messages are written on the discussion board and so on, we have a rather all-round observer attached to each event. Now imagine this: you, a customer, receive an offer from 5 different print shops, where each print shop also adds a message containing additional offer details, or just a quick note letting you know about their enthusiasm about working with you. As each event triggers a mail notification, you have now received 10 emails already. Wow, that's a lot, you could even call it.. spam!

Of course, we do not want to pollute your inbox, and that's why we developed a new solution. Instead of sending you a new email as soon as you receive a message or an offer or likewise, Printfolder sends you an abridged version of your account activities, since the last email report. The abridged report could look something like this:

If there haven't been any activities, then you will of course not receive any email.

Also, you can now choose just how often you want to receive your report. This is great news as you can adjust Printfolder with respect to your ordinary workflow, not the other way around. You can choose your preferred delivery interval under your account settings:
